LINE BK honored with The Best Digital-only Bank in Thailand from The Asian Banker Thailand Awards 2022
KASIKORN LINE Company Limited, led by Tana Pothikamjorn, Chief Executive Officer, the service provider of "LINE BK", Thailand’s first Social Banking platform, has been recognized as the winner in The Best Digital-only Bank in Thailand from The Asian Banker Thailand Awards 2022. Through LINE BK, customers can transfer money, open savings accounts, and make payments with ease and convenience within the LINE application, used by over 53 million Thai. LINE BK also unlocks current limitations for freelancers and individuals without fixed income, giving them easy access to credit through loans.
KASIKORN LINE (LINE BK), a joint venture between KASIKORNBANK and LINE, was launched in 2020 to address this challenge of financial inclusion, showcasing the concept of “Banking in Your Hand.” One of the objectives is to provide Thai consumers with better access to essential financial products, especially tapping the unbanked and underbanked population.
After launched service for two years, LINE BK now has more than 5 million users, 5.9 million savings accounts, 160,000 special rate accounts, 2.8 million debit cards, and more than 600,000 loan accounts. (Number as of October 2022)
